The Dallas Cowboys are suddenly in need of a new head coach. Even after a disappointing 8-8 season, many Cowboys fans still believed Jason Garrett was the right man for the job. Dallas lost five games when it led in the fourth quarter, so the Cowboys easily could have been 12-4 or 13-3 without those collapses. That’s reason to believe, right?
Wrong.
Garrett confirmed he’s just another one of Jerry Jones’ “yes men” when he lied on Wednesday and said the Cowboys went into 2011 with the mindset it was a rebuilding year. He said the opposite five months earlier, so he’s a coward and needs to be replaced.
So who could the Cowboys bring in to replace him? Bill Cowher and Jeff Fisher are some of the first names that come to mind, but Cowher says he’s done coaching and Cowher is reportedly close to signing with the St. Louis Rams. That means we’ll have to dig a little deeper for candidates, but that doesn’t mean the quality decreases.
Here are five coaches the Cowboys should consider signing to replace Garrett:
Yes I agree I am sick and tired as a cowboys fan for the let down on a yearly basis it sickens me to see romo lose games then when tony plays good jason garrett finishes us off for do you year someone please help us
please mr. Jones hire Gruden to get him off monday nights. one of the worst commentators ever. i have to mute the sound to watch.
The Zimmer, Sparano combination works for me.
untill jerry lets his coaches do there jobs it isnt going to matter who the head coach is,yes i agree Jason has made a few mistakes, but we cant put all the blame on him. my opinion is simple there a pro (team) they all need to start playing like one so we cowboy fans can wear are jerseys with pride once again.
John Gruden. LOL. After winning the superbowl with dungy’s team, it only took John about 3 years to get the Bucs back to below medirocrity. Yeah, um, no thanks. Keep hittin’ the mute people.
Jay however. that’s an intresting thought.
Russ Grimm is intresting too.
