Winnipeg Jets End Dallas Stars Winning Streak With Blowout Victory
The Dallas Stars entered Winnipeg as one of the NHL’s hottest teams with a 8-0-1 record in their last nine games.
Winnipeg managed to take complete contro of the contest. Antropov scored the first goal off of a wrist shot. The goal was his 11th of the season. I thought Antropov had 15 to 20 goal scorer ability. Its sort of surprising that Antropov has not produced more for Winnipeg in 2011.
Antropov’s goal would be the only one in the first period. Winnipeg would take a 1 to 0 lead heading into the 2nd period.
Evander Kane would score his 28th goal of the season to geting the 2nd period. The goal would be a wrist shot. Assists by Alexander Burmistrov and Kyle Wellwood made the shot possible. Kane has really put together a solid season for the Jets despite their losses.
Eric Fehr got his second goal of the season on a slap shot. Winnipeg would go ahead by 3 goals.
Andrew Ladd managed to obtain 2 goals for the Winnipeg Jets in Wednesday’s contest. Ladd’s first goal came off of a wrist shot. The second goal came on a power play. One player that helped Ladd out was Blake Wheeler. Wheeler managed to dish out 2 assists.
Wheeler has helped the Winnipeg Jets in the assist department. Wheeler now has 41 assists on the season.
Loui Eriksson would help Dallas out by scoring 2 goals. The two goals Eriksson scored were pretty obsolete. Winnipeg was up 5 to 0 before Dallas scored.
All I can say is that Winnipeg unleashed the perfect game plan against Dallas. Dallas really performed sluggish in their loss to the Jets. Dallas’s 8-0-1 winning streak in 9 games will be the highlight of their season barring a first round playoff win.
