Peyton Manning to Denver Broncos Means Super Bowl Contender
Peyton Manning has reportedly agreed to join the Denver Broncos according to ESPN’s Chris Mortenson. I would have never thought the Broncos would be considered as a landing spot when the Indianapolis Colts let Peyton Manning go in early March. Now it has become reality.
The Denver Broncos have just placed themselves in Super Bowl contention as long as Peyton Manning is 100% healthy when the 2012 NFL season starts. The Broncos were starting to worry me that they were putting everything into Manning and not looking at other free agents. With Manning now for sure in Denver, the Broncos need to get busy in spending a little more money on some help for Manning.
I would start with a tight end and all I can think of that is still available are the two that have been with Manning for the last few years in Indianapolis: Dallas Clark and Jacob Tamme. If there are any wide receivers left I may would try to pick a dependable option up for an average salary. Then after that I would fix any weaknesses in the o-line. The Broncos have already added a great veteran safety in Mike Adams and should boost the defense in the 2012 NFL draft.
If the Denver Broncos will make a couple moves that will help Manning and fit to the team’s needs, then I can see them as a serious contender for a run at the Super Bowl title.
