The Detroit Lions should consider Drafting running back Ronnie Hillman because going into the 2012 season the health status of Detroit Lions running backs Jahvid Best and Mikel Leshoure are up in the air until they can get on the football field. The Detroit Lions just re-signed running back Kevin Smith. If the Detroit Lions draft Ronnie Hillman from San Diego State in the middle rounds of the 2012 NFL draft. Ronnie Hillman will be the insurance policy the Detroit Lions need at running back. The Detroit Lions did not have much of a running game after Jahvid Best went down for the season with his second concussion.
Ronnie Hillman is similar to Jahvid Best in that they both have great speed and the ability to do great things with the football in their hands. They both have great hands that will be an asset to the Detroit Lions passing game.
Drafting Ronnie Hillman will the give the Detroit Lions added depth at the running back position. If Jahvid Best and Mikel Leshoure are healthy the Detroit Lions will have the dynamic running attack that will be able to complement their prolific passing game.
Ronnie Hillman has the talent to be the impact player the Detroit Lions might very well need in 2012. The Detroit Lions have the luxury of being able to draft a running back with this much talent such as Ronnie Hillman in the middle of rounds of the 2012 draft. With the Detroit Lions having high expectations going in to the 2012 season after reaching the playoffs for the first time since 1999. It is smart idea for the Detroit Lions front office to make sure the Detroit Lions have enough depth at the running back position when the 2012 NFL season begins
