Start these Guys and Sit those Dudes: Week 6

Last week I had some of my best predictions yet. As Jay-Z states so eloquently, “Men lie, women lie, but numbers don’t.” Here are those numbers. I recommended Hakeem Nicks who had 25 fantasy points, Falcons defense that racked up 19, and I recommended Flacco who had a cool 15. Even Better were my sit recommendations. I told you to sit Laurence Maroney who had just 2 against Baltimore, Jermichael Finely who had 0 due to a 1st quarter injury, and Jonathan Stewart managed only 3 points against the Bears Defense. This week we have some more sleepers to keep an eye on. Namely, my favorite Titan: Kenny Britt!
Start These Guys
Kenny Britt
Forget Chris Johnson, the new fantasy stud in Tennessee is Kenny Britt. Actually scratch that; don’t forget Chris Johnson. CJ is still a must start, but you have got to believe that his workload is starting to wear him down. Recently the Titans have been passing the ball more effectively, all thanks to Britt. He will most likely continue his trend and get his 4th TD in four weeks against the atrocious Jaguar secondary this week.
Matt Cassel
Though you are probably already in trouble if your quarterback is on Bye this week (Max Hall, Carson Palmer, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Jimmy Clausen), if you don’t trust your matchup Cassel is widely available and has excellent chances against Houston. The Texans love giving opposing quarterbacks fantasy points. They rank 2nd in the league.
Ryan Torain
Nobody drafted him in their league, but everyone will know his name after he thrashed the Colts this week. Torain runs with a lot of power, and can cover a lot of ground quickly. He already has made head coach Mike Shanahan fall in love with him, and guess what, you’re next.
Michael Bush
Can I finally say it? The Raiders are a solid fantasy team. Nobody has been able to say that in a long time, but with their 7th ranked running game they will pound the rock. The problem in recent years is that they split carries and don’t allow their RB to get into a rhythm. With Bush out the first 3 weeks of the season, Darren “Run DMC” McFadden took over and racked up 554 yards from scrimmage. Now that McFadden is sidelined with a hamstring injury Bush is on pace to do the same.
Mike Wallace
If you drafted Wallace high in this years draft. Then this is probably the day you’ve been waiting for. Big Ben is returning the Steelers and he will surely be slinging the ball, Wallace became a favorite target of his towards the end of the season. Even though they acquired Antwaan Randle El in the offseason, Wallace has big play abilities that Ward and Randle El lack.
Sit These Dudes
Dez Bryant
As much as I hate to see him on this list, he hasn’t proved himself yet. Romo doesn’t target him as much as he should. Maybe Dez should have carried Roy William’s pads in training camp. Williams has 3 receiving TDs this season to Bryant’s zero TDs. He has a lot of talent; so hold on to him, he will pass Williams someday.
Peyton Hillis
I think the Steelers Defense may be the most talented defense that you can own this year. There is no way that Hillis and the Browns will be able to put up numbers against them, especially with Big Ben returning to the lineup.
Matt Schaub
This is a statement you might have heard LAST YEAR. “Did you watch Peyton Manning’s rip up the Chiefs last week? It was awesome.” You definitely didn’t hear anybody say that after last Sunday. Peyton turned the ball over twice and didn’t even throw a TD pass. He often looked confused and was hurried into throwing very wild looking passes. Though, you shouldn’t worry about his career being over, you should worry about your quarterback if you are starting Schaub this week. Schaub has been underwhelming most of the season. Don’t expect any different this week.
Visanthe Shaincoe
I am sad to tell you that the player hurt most by the arrival of Moss will undoubtedly be Visanthe Shaincoe. Last week against the Jets he ended the game with just 2 catches for minimal gains. Expect Favre to fall in love with Moss and forget all about his big TE. “The Shank” has been shanked.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
The only way that “The Law Firm” will be able to become fantasy relevant in this matchup is by getting goal line touches. The Ravens defense allows just 14.4 points per game this season; don’t expect huge numbers from Green-Elli
