Fantasy Golf Rankings for Transitions Championship
By Adam McGill
The PGA fan-base is bigger than it has ever been, as there are a dozen golfers who have a realistic chance of winning each week. The Masters are approaching in a couple of weeks, and fantasy golf is in full swing. Below are my top ten fantasy golfers for the Transitions Championship:
1. Luke Donald – Donald will get a chance to showcase his swing without Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy competing in the event.
2. Charl Schwartzel – Schwartzel has been on fire in the last two tournaments; with a score of 13 under at the WGC Cadillac Championship and a 7 under at the Honda Classic.
3. Mark Wilson – Wilson has been steadily consistent this season and is averaging a respectable 70 strokes per round.
4. Justin Rose – Rose loves playing at Innisbrook and is one of the most popular picks of the week.
5. Nick Watney – The “California Kid” is outstanding on the green and his ability to sink puts always gives him a chance to win.
6. K. J. Choi – Choi is in a extremely tough group with Donald and Rose, so expect him to have a great round to keep up.
7. Webb Simpson – The kid is averaging 4.3 birdies per round and has one of the best approach shots on the tour.
8. Peter Hanson – Hanson has really stepped up in recent weeks and is a great sleeper.
9. Harris English – English has been phenonmenl this year, as he has not missed a single cut.
10. Sergio Garcia – The veteran will grace the PGA with his prescence this week and he knows this course inside and out.
