One of the fastest players in Major League Baseball is Tampa Bay Rays OF Desmond Jennings. The center fielder loves to use his speed to steal bases and manufacture runs, so naturally he has become a popular fantasy baseball selection in recent years.
Jennings has enjoyed a very successful spring this season. On Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays, Jennings swiped his sixth stolen base in the Grapefruit League this year. He may have finished the game 0-3, but he is still hitting a very respectable .314 this spring. So far, he is 11-35 with two RBIs, eight walks, and 11 runs scored through 16 spring games.

His performance this preseason has been very promising heading into the 2013 fantasy season. Jennings injured his ankle earlier this month, so many were skeptical about potentially drafting the center fielder. He has put those concerns to rest, though, and has been the most efficient base stealer this month.
Jennings now will be the everyday center fielder in Tampa and gets to move back to his natural position. He will get all the extra at-bats that come from hitting leadoff and will enter the year much more confident following his strong spring performance.
Jennings is a great third outfielder to target this spring, but his recent success may cause him to jump into the top-20. He has the potential to be a 30-30 guy and it is looking like 2013 will be his breakout campaign.
DJ will easily steal over 40 bases for fantasy owners in 2013 and the 26-year-old will finally become a roto-league superstar.
