In the following weeks, I will be walking you through all 32 NFL teams in a fantasy football perspective. I will give you predictions, rankings, sleepers and much more so you can be fully prepared for draft day. Today, I am going to walk you through the Cleveland Browns.
The City of Sadness hosts a team with players who could have an impact in your fantasy football season. There are also players who won’t make an impact on your fantasy football season, and there are definitely guys you should never draft. Either way, you will know the difference by the end of the article.
Quarterback: You want to hear a joke … the Brown’s quarterback situation. Brandon Weeden should not be drafted.
Running Back: This is the one and only bright spot on the Browns’ squad. Trent Richardson is a strong, grit and grind running back that thrives in nearly any format. This beast of an athlete is going to be a first-round draft pick and rightfully so.
He had 950 yards and 11 touchdowns last year on 267 attempts. He also catches the ball. He raked in 51 receptions to add to an impressive rookie year stat line.
The only down side to Richardson is his situation. The Browns aren’t a great team by any stretch, and Richardson is the only real threat on the offensive side of the ball. Defenses are going to focus in on Trent, which is never a good thing.
Wide Receiver and Tight End: To save you time, I have condensed these two categories together. The only real name that you should look into is the second-year receiver Josh Gordon. In his rookie debut, he put up some solid numbers. He managed 50 receptions, 805 yards and five scores. He is an excellent sleeper candidate that could make your bench a whole lot better.
