Since returning from the disabled list last week, Miami Marlins OF Giancarlo Stanton has been absolutely punishing the ball for fantasy baseball owners.
Stanton has shockingly homered four times since coming back from the DL on June 10th, including a game-winner against the Milwaukee Brewers. He crushed two long balls in a game earlier this week against the Arizona Diamondbacks and the right-fielder finally looks healthy for fantasy owners.
He has amassed 12 hits in the team’s last nine games and has hit safely in every game but one. He has raised his batting average from .227 all the way up to respectable .264 in the short time since coming off the DL. Most people associate Stanton purely with hitting balls into the stands, but the slugger is making solid contact each time he steps into the batter’s box.
Even more impressive is that Stanton has blasted seven home runs with 15 RBIs in his last 12 games alone. He makes hitting 470-foot home runs look effortless and has wasted no time in showing the rest of the league his power. The 23-year-old is already back in mid-season form and instantly becomes one of the most dangerous sticks in fantasy again.
Stanton is clearly an elite fantasy outfielder in every format, but his most recent power surge has completely silenced his critics. Stanton has officially returned to action and fantasy owners couldn’t be happier.
