If Ray Rice is able to take the field in Week 3, he will be doing so against a Houston Texans‘ defense that is way more bark than bite. The reason I say that is because this highly-revered defensive front allowed for Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans to run wild on Sunday. Houston eked out an overtime victory in Week 2, but Johnson still finished the game with 96 rushing yards.
But before Rice can face a struggling Texans’ run defense, he must first get healthy.
The Baltimore Ravens‘ fan base was given quite the scare in Sunday’s game as Rice was taken out late in the game with an apparent hip injury. However, Rice left the stadium without crutches and an MRI is not in the near future, which means that Baltimore isn’t taking this injury very seriously. With the thinking that Rice does suit up for Sunday’s game against the Texans; Rice needs to pick his game up for fantasy football owners across the country.
In just two weeks of action Rice has yet to eclipse the 100 yards rushing mark in either game, which has got to be concerning for those who used a first or second-round pick on the Ravens’ running back. The saving grace for Rice will be a less-than stellar Texans’ defense, so just wait and see if this Ravens’ running back can get his mo-jo back despite a bad hip.
