The Miami Dolphins haven’t exactly been striking fear into the heart of their opponents with their running game. The team is currently ranked 21st in the league with 97.6 yards per contest and fantasy football fans have tried to steer clear of the running back situation all year.
Over the last couple weeks, though, RB Lamar Miller has really started to pick up steam. The second-year back racked up a very impressive 89 rushing yards on 18 carries against the New England Patriots in Week 8. He followed it up by collecting 105 yards on just 16 carries on Thursday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals this past week. The back has also hauled in over 20 receiving yards in each contest and has really started to put up some serious fantasy stat lines.
Miami will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10, and while the team is ranked 13th against the run, they haven’t faced many teams with a full-time back on their roster. Miller has earned his starting gig in Miami, and he has been gaining more confidence with each passing week. He should easily get between 15-18 touches on Monday night and have no problem racking up at least 80 all-purpose yards.
Miller is finally getting a reliable dose of carries with the Phins, and it isn’t a coincidence that he is producing. If you have sat on Miller all season long, this is what you have been waiting for. He has his legs back under him and will be a strong sleeper to start with bye weeks still haunting fantasy owners.
