Week 13 Fantasy Football Dark Horse Sleeper: WR Michael Floyd

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals have been on quite a hot-streak over the last several weeks.  The team has won four straight games and has averaged an impressive 30.3 points per contest. Fantasy football owners are getting steady numbers out of the guys down in the desert and some of these players have become decent fantasy starters in the process.

Among these suddenly productive fantasy options has been WR Michael Floyd. The wideout has racked up two consecutive 100-yard performances, as he dropped 193 yards on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11 and followed it up with 104 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. Needless to say, Floyd has quickly caught the attention of the fantasy world.

Floyd may have only hauled in one touchdown over this two-game stretch, but the fact that WR Larry Fitzgerald has caught three touchdowns has hindered Floyd’s red-zone numbers. Floyd is still racking up tons of yards, though, and that alone has made him a decent starting option.

This week Arizona plays a Philadelphia Eagles team that has been getting torched all year. Philly is currently allowing the second-most fantasy points (28.6) in the league to opposing wide receivers and the writing is on the wall for Floyd to have another big game.

Floyd is slowly maturing into a decent WR2 and should shine this week with another favorable matchup. If you own the former Notre Dame standout, make sure to get him active for Week 13.
