Fantasy Football Championship: Green Light For All Chicago Bears

Jay Cutler

If you have one or more of the Chicago Bears‘ skill players on your fantasy team you’re in for a treat this Sunday night. They’ll be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles and the game is all but certain to be a high-scoring shootout. The Eagles shouldn’t have trouble putting up points on the regular as LeSean McCoy destroys the Bears’ wretched defense single-handedly, so Jay Cutler and friends should have to stay in attack mode for almost the entire game.

Cutler returned to action last week after missing the team’s previous four games and had his way with the Cleveland Browns for the most part. He finished with 21.7 fantasy points and he has a good chance of finding similar success against Philadelphia. The Eagles don’t defend well at all against the pass, consistently surrendering big plays to powerful receivers. It just so happens Cutler has a few of those to throw to so sailing should be pretty smooth for the quarterback.

Those powerful receivers are of course Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, who’ve both been outstanding recently. Cutler tends to look for Marshall more than anyone so his outlook is slightly more favourable, but with Jeffery becoming increasingly difficult to defend each week there’s no way he’s going to fall out of the game plan. They should both have ample opportunity to do some serious damage in this one.

Matt Forte won’t necessarily do as he likes on the ground, as the Eagles have recently become a lot harder to run on. With his involvement in the passing game, however, he’ll remain a lethal threat and most definitely break off a few huge plays.

It’s hard to say who’ll come out on top in this game but thankfully for us, the one thing we do know is that it’ll produce fantasy points galore. The Bears are set for a major offensive outburst.
