2014 Fantasy Baseball Player Rankings

MikeTrout
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The month of March is almost here, and with that comes spring training baseball. Even better, it means that the fantasy baseball season is right around the corner.

This season will once again bring a handful of new talent. We saw Matt Harvey, Shelby Miller, Gerrit Cole, Tony Cingrani, Zack Wheeler, Wil Myers, Nolan Arenado, Trevor Rosenthal, and several other top prospects earn starting spots last season. It is simply the nature of the sport.

Hot prospects like Xander Bogaerts, Billy Hamilton, Taijuan Walker, Jose Abreu, George Springer, and Oscar Taveras will all be looking to do the same in 2014. These youngsters will be popular targets on draft day and will be circled on nearly everyone’s cheat sheet.

And then there’s Japanese sensation, Masahiro Tanaka. The fireballer finished with a flawless 24-0 record in 2013 with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles to go along with a sizzling 1.27 ERA and 0.943 WHIP. The right-hander will instantly become a hot commodity in fantasy drafts this spring and will see a major uptick in value in any type of dynasty league.

So for those of you getting an early start this fantasy season, here are my complete 2014 fantasy baseball player rankings.
