Trending Upward: Emilio Bonifacio
Trending Upward: Emilio Bonifacio
Bonifacio continues his ascension after going 2-for-4 with another stolen base on Thursday. Bonifacio is earning himself more and more playing time and if you need speed, he's the guy you should be looking to add.
Trending Upward: Dexter Fowler
Trending Upward: Dexter Fowler
Many people were hesitant on picking Fowler this year, fearing that he may not be the same player away from the friendly confines of Coors field. To be fair, his OPS was nearly .200 points lower on the road last season. Three games in, Fowler has done everything he can to dispel that notion, he's hit .500 with two doubles, a triple and home run to go with five runs and two RBIs.
Trending Upward: Jose Abreu
Trending Upward: Jose Abreu
Through three games, Abreu looks as good as advertised. Yesterday, Abreu went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple to go along with one run and four RBIs. Abreu's hitting .417 and looks like he's going to be a monster in the middle of the White Sox lineup.
Trending Upward: Jose Quintana
Trending Upward: Jose Quintana
If I told you there was a 25-year old pitcher in your free agent pool who has thrown 342 innings in the big leagues and has a career 3.60 ERA and 1.27 WHIP, isn't that someone you'd be interested in? Quintana is that guy and he's available in 95 percent of ESPN leagues and 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Quintana struck out eight over six innings against the Twins on Thursday, giving up five hits, two earned runs and three walks.
Closer Watch: Chicago White Sox
Closer Watch: Chicago White Sox
Lindstrom blew a two-run lead against the Twins on Thursday. Both runs were scored on him with two outs. Nate Jones pitched the seventh inning, walked the only two batters he faced and was placed on the DL following the game. Lindstrom converted his first save opportunity, so I wouldn't worry too much, but if he strings together some shaky outings, Robin Ventura may begin to look elsewhere.
Closer Watch: Cincinnati Reds
Closer Watch: Cincinnati Reds
Reds manager Bryan Price has recently said that he expects Broxton to come off the DL next week and immediately move into the closer role until Aroldis Chapman returns. Broxton is a must-add for those searching for saves.
