Trending Up: Adam LaRoche
LaRoche continued his hot start to the season yesterday by going 2-for-4 with two more runs scored. LaRoche is now hitting .361 on the season with 10 runs, two home runs and nine RBIs and in three of his last four games, he's recorded multiple hits.
Trending Up: Chris Tillman
Trending Up: Chris Tillman
Tillman was brilliant on Friday night, scattering just three hits and one walk across eight shutout innings to go with six strikeouts. Tillman has now made three starts this season and has an outstanding 0.84 ERA and 0.84 WHIP to go with 15 strikeouts over 21.1 innings.
Trending Down: B.J. Upton
Trending Down: B.J. Upton
It's been a miserable start for 2014 for Upton. Upton went 0-for-4 yesterday and is now hitting .135 on the season to go with just one run and a steal. Upton has 15 strikeouts compared to just one walk and it looks like he's picking up right where he left off last season.
Trending Down: Will Venable
Trending Down: Will Venable
Venable was a popular pick heading into 2014 because he was just one of nine players to hit at least 20 home runs and steal at least 20 bases in 2013. Venable hasn't hit a home run or stolen a base yet in 2014 and to make matters even worse, he's hitting just .171.
Trending Down: A.J. Burnett
Trending Down: A.J. Burnett
Burnett lasted just 4.1 miserable innings yesterday and he has now allowed six walks in back-to-back starts. When he left yesterday, he was also experiencing pain in his groin.

Closer Watch: Boston Red Sox
Koji Uehara is experiencing some pain in his shoulder, so as a precaution, the Red Sox are going to give him some rest. For the time being, it looks like Edward Mujica will be filling in as Boston's closer, Mujica picked up the save on Friday night.
Closer Watch: Chicago Cubs
Closer Watch: Chicago Cubs
Jose Veras has officially been relieved of his ninth-inning duties. This is just speculation, but I would imagine that Pedro Strop will be the first guy who gets an opportunity to fill the role.
