Fantasy Baseball 2014: Top 10 Second Basemen Heading Into Week 4

Omar Infante was plunked in the face by a fastball a couple weeks ago, causing him to switch to a new batting helmet. Well, the new and improved Infante has been pretty productive lately.

Zobrist is the utility man of the Rays, but he spends most of his days at second base. The veteran infielder is having quite the season thus far. Just because he's getting old doesn't mean he's lost his batting touch.

Dustin Pedroia is a former MVP and a very valuable piece to the Red Sox championship puzzle. If the second baseman is on his game, the Sox will be successful. If there is any second baseman in the game today that is the most reliable, it's Pedroia.

Scooter Gennett isn't exactly a household name, but he makes a solid one-two punch partner with Jean Segura at second base and shortstop.

The New York Mets are the forgotten team of New York -- depending on who you ask -- but the Mets are within striking distance of first place in the NL East after three weeks. Daniel Murphy is one of the team leaders and he's been solid since coming back from a little break after the birth of his child.

The criticism of Dan Uggla has been at an all-time high this season as Braves fans had been growing restless due to his mediocre play. Uggla was once a premier second basemen in MLB, but he has dropped off considerably in recent years. He desperately needed a solid week like the one he had in week three for quite some time.

Kinsler for Prince Fielder is looking like a solid deal on the Tigers' part right about now. The veteran second baseman is exceeding many people's expectations and is turning into the best hitting on the team.

Week 3 Stats: .350 AVG, 1 HR, 7 RBI, 4 Runs, 1 SB, .391 OBP

Neil Walker put on a power show in week three. He's owned in less than 70 percent of fantasy leagues on ESPN, so picking him up wouldn't exactly be the worst idea ever. Take a chance on this current power-hitting second baseman.

The Angels have been struggling a bit record-wise this season, but the offense has been scorching hot. Howie Kendrick has been hot as of late as well, recording his best week of the season in week three. He's still a free agent in 10 percent of fantasy leagues, so scoop him up before someone else makes you pay for not doing so.
