The rotation of the Miami Marlins has gained a good deal of attention this fantasy baseball season. Obviously team ace, Jose Fernandez, is one of the most electric hurlers in fantasy, but the team has had several other valuable starters emerge.

Probably the most intriguing starter in Miami’s rotation is SP Nate Eovaldi.

In his last three starts, Eovaldi has been absolutely electric. He has a 0.947 ERA over the last 19 innings of work and has established himself as a legitimate fantasy starter. He has lowered his WHIP to 1.02 on the year and the 24-year-old’s 2.58 ERA is simply astonishing.

Even more promising, Eovaldi will get to take the mound twice in the upcoming scoring period. Most two-start pitchers are impossible to ignore, especially one that is pitching so well. Here is a look at his Week 6 starts:

5/5 vs. New York Mets

5/10 @ San Diego Padres

These are two favorable matchups for the young fireballer to take advantage of next week. The Mets are currently 28th in the league with a .228 batting average and they have the sixth highest strikeout total (262) in the majors.

The Padres have been even worse this season. They are currently 30th in the majors in runs scored (80), batting average (.215), and On Base Percentage (.267). Eovaldi should have no problem dominating both outings this week and fantasy fans can expect him to throw two quality starts in the process.

Eovaldi is only owned in 40.3% of ESPN leagues at the moment and the youngster is absolutely worth of owning in all formats. If you have the extra roster spot, don’t think twice about adding Eovaldi this week.
