Fantasy Football 2014: 5 New York Jets You Need To Draft
The New York Jets are on track to have a much better season in 2014 since they have made considerable upgrades across the team during the offseason. Here are five players who you need to draft into your fantasy football team to rack up points!
5. WR Eric Decker
5. WR Eric Decker
Eric Decker has changed teams and is poised to have a breakout year. Sure, he won't have Peyton Manning throwing to him anymore, but he will be the premiere receiver on the Jets as the majority of plays will be centered around him. He'll put up plenty of yards, catch a good number of touchdowns and has no major injuries to worry about.
4. WR Jalen Saunders
4. WR Jalen Saunders
Out of all the Jets rookies to watch this season, Jalen Saunders is going to have the most impact. He's fast, loves to make big plays and is a major threat when he goes deep. He has made a name for himself so far during OTAs and rookie minicamp, so expect a lot of points coming your way once you draft him. He should get some good playing time alongside Decker and could also be a dual threat as a special teams returner.
3. LB David Harris
3. LB David Harris
David Harris will pick up exactly where he left off last season. He's a hard-hitting tackling machine who loves to create havoc in the defensive backfield and make those around him step up their game. Expect him to continue his aggression as he delivers plenty of points your way.
2. DT Sheldon Richardson
2. DT Sheldon Richardson
Sheldon Richardson is one of the anchors on the Jets' defensive line. He's great against stopping the run and getting to the quarterback in a hurry. He's expected to have another strong season and is only going to get better. Draft him to reap the benefits of a defensive player on the rise who could very well have a breakout season.
1. RB Chris Johnson
1. RB Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson is another player who changed teams during the offseason and will be looking to revitalize his career. The Jets will be one of the few teams that will be committed to running the football more than passing, so he's expected to have a big season. Expect close to or above 1,000 yards from CJ2K. Make sure he is on your fantasy football team.
