Predicting The Fantasy Stats Of QB Matt Ryan
After a down fantasy football season in 2013, Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan will look to get back on track this summer. Here is a full 2014 statistical prediction for the former All-Pro quarterback.
Games Played – 16
Games Played – 16
Ryan has only missed two games in his six professional seasons, which was all the way back in 2009. Ryan will be on the field in all 16 games this fall.
Passing Yards – 4,614
Passing Yards – 4,614
Despite all the negative attention, Ryan still threw 4,515 yards last year. He was fourth in the league in passing yards and has now throw over 4,500 yards in back-to-back seasons.
Touchdowns – 31
Touchdowns – 31
Ryan has averaged 28.8 touchdowns over his last four seasons. He will be returning two All-Pro wideouts in Julio Jones and Roddy White, so expect Ryan to throw another 30-plus touchdowns in 2014.
Interceptions - 13
Interceptions - 13
Ryan threw a career-high 17 interceptions in 2013, but the increase in turnovers was due to the lack of options around him. With a healthy set of weapons this year, it is now hard to imagine Ryan not bringing his interception total to under 15 again.
Fumbles - 3
Fumbles - 3
Ryan has fumbled the ball 21 times throughout his career, including four times last year. He tends to look up field before securing the ball and it will cause him to once again drop a couple balls this fall.
