Jermaine Kearse is on his way to a breakout season in 2014. He’s an absolute must-have when it comes to your fantasy football team because of how the Seattle Seahawks plan to make him a top target this year.

There will always be a chip on his shoulder since he went undrafted upon entering the NFL, and he’ll always want to prove himself to those who didn’t take a chance on him. The Seahawks took a chance on him, and he’s become a hidden gem on offense to the point where he’s an increasingly favorite target of quarterback Russell Wilson. This bodes well for fantasy football owners everywhere since he hasn’t reached his true potential just yet and will be looking to make an even bigger name for himself this time around.

Expect to see Kearse be targeted plenty of times, especially in the red zone. He has a great knack for hauling in touchdowns in key moments of close games which will result in plenty of fantasy points for those wise enough to invest in him. He should easily be the leader on offense with touchdowns this year after his offseason work with Wilson to improve. Both athletes wanted to build a solid rapport to become the next dynamic duo in the league, especially on deep passing plays down the field.

Kearse is a good option as your WR3 or WR4 since it might take him a few weeks to emerge as a top receiver; but make no mistake about it, his time will surely come in 2014. He will be a nice surprise for owners who grab him now and are patient in his development as he lights up scoreboards this season.
