5 Sleeper Defensive Linemen For Week 2
To help you set your IDP lineup this week, here are five fantasy football IDP sleepers for Week 2 of the 2014 season.
5. DE Jared Crick, Houston Texans
5. DE Jared Crick, Houston Texans
The loss of Jadeveon Clowney will leave a huge hole in Houston’s pass rush, but Crick still has a stranglehold on the starting job. He won’t be an All-Pro option, but he will see plenty of one-on-one coverage opposite of J.J. Watt. Crick will be a decent sleeper to register a sack in Week 2.
Week 2 Matchup: (vs. PHI)
4. DT Dontari Poe, Kansas City Chiefs
4. DT Dontari Poe, Kansas City Chiefs
Poe likely won’t be able to get to Manning this week, but the linemen will be able to rack up the tackles. I expect him to finish with at least five tackles, which is pretty good for a DT.
Week 2 Matchup: (@ DEN)
3. DT Marcell Dareus, Buffalo Bills
3. DT Marcell Dareus, Buffalo Bills
Dareus may have had several off the field issues this offseason, but he has shown up ready to play this season. He racked up four hits in the season opener, including one tackles for a loss. Miami’s o-line is still questionable at best, so expect Dareus to get a couple shots at QB Ryan Tannehill in this division rivalry.
Week 2 Matchup: (vs. MIA)
2. Calais Campbell, Arizona Cardinals
2. Calais Campbell, Arizona Cardinals
Campbell was held out of the box score in the opener and was a major disappointment to the fantasy community. Luckily, the veteran is too good to put up a goose egg two weeks in a row, so expect a much better performance from Campbell in Week 2 against the struggling G-Men offense.
Week 2 Matchup: (@ NYG)
1. DT Gerald McCoy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1. DT Gerald McCoy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
McCoy shined in Week 1 (8 tax, 1 sack), but he continues to fly under the radar in IDP formats. He is the new face off this unit and the defensive tackle will be all over whichever St. Louis QB is under center this week.
Week 2 Matchup: (vs. STL)
