Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris was not one of the fantasy stars of Week 3 as his team piled up 511 yards of offense and scored 34 points, but his 77 yards on 23 carries was not a complete loss either. He did suffer a knee injury in the game, but practiced in full on Monday as the Redskins get ready for a Thursday night matchup with the New York Giants.

The Giants are currently in the top half of the league against running backs, allowing 15.3 fantasy points per game (ESPN standard scoring), but they have allowed 4.2 yards per carry to the position. The three running backs who have gotten double-digit carries against New York so far this season have had particular success, with 220 yards on 43 carries (5.1 yards per carry) collectively, but no back has had more than 15 carries against them so far.

Morris certainly fits the bill as a workhorse as long as his knee is not a lingering issue, and he had at least 120 rushing yards on more than 20 carries in both games against the Giants during his 2012 rookie season. His 2013 production against New York was not as good, with a total of 88 yards on 27 carries, but he did have five receptions in those two games. That reception total in just two games is noteworthy, because Morris only has 20 receptions in 35 career games.

Morris has not brought anything to the table as a  pass receiver so far this season, with zero receptions and zero targets through the first three games. It typically takes a touchdown or two for him to have a big game fantasy-wise, and Week 4 will be no different even if he manages a catch or two against the Giants.

Alfred Morris Week 4 Fantasy Projection: 25 carries for 103 yards and one touchdown; two catches for 15 yards
