Julio Jones has looked like his 2012 self in 2014 after spending the majority of the 2013 season on the shelf because of a fractured foot. With the foot injury being so crucial to a wide receiver, you would think that Jones may be slower and have trouble getting out of his breaks, but for the first four weeks of the fantasy football season, Jones has looked quite well.

Year after year, Jones leads the league in yards per reception and he is doing it again in 2014. His explosiveness and his ability to go up for the ball in the air is second to none. Matt Ryan loves throwing the football to Jones, because he can do special things to bring the ball in. Another thing to remember is what the Alabama product can do when he has the ball. In a blink of an eye, Jones can score touchdowns with ease.

In Week 5, Jones will be going up against the New York Giants secondary, a team that gives up the 12th most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Given that the Giants don’t have any tall cornerbacks, Jones, at 6-foot-3, will have himself a day. When the Atlanta Falcons drive into the redzone, Jones will have plenty of looks to score six points. With the Falcons in need of a win after a terrible loss to the lowly Minnesota Vikings, the Falcons will come out throwing and Jones will benefit greatly. Jones could have a huge day on Sunday. In fact, he could lead all receivers in points in a very favorable matchup.

Week 5 Fantasy Football Projection: 8 catches, 133 receiving yards, 1 TD
