The home stretch is approaching for fantasy football teams. While it's important to wake up for your draft before the season begins, it's even more important to get over Week 8's hump and pick up on who everyone else is sleeping on. If your season is looking in doubt right now, take a jab at these guys.

Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is finally starting to settle into his role for the Vikings and he's going to continue to rely on his veterans to help him out. Though he averages just five points with him, Jennings is among the top of their receiving corps. On an average week, I wouldn't advise him too strongly, but the Vikings are hosted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, who give up the most fantasy points to WRs in the league.

Though he's behind Jared Cook on the depth chart, Kendricks is standing tall at the tight end position. Austin Davis has had a lot of hot reads in the past few games, and should be looking to exploit the Kansas City Chiefs' pass coverage this week, who give up the eighth most fantasy points to TEs. They have a particularly hard time covering multiple big man targets, as shown last week against the San Diego Chargers.

It was an option to not even show the Vikings in this slide because it's not so much about them, as it is their matchup against the Buccaneers. The Bucs, who many expected big things from, are giving up the 4th most points to defenses. They've been improving, but so have the Vikings, who are coming off a four-turnover performance against the Buffalo Bills. The Bucs are averaging two turnovers per game.

7. K Matt Prater - Detroit Lions

I think a lot of people have forgotten about Prater after the Denver Broncos released him after his suspension expired after Week 4. But the Lions picked him up and he's produced two straight six-point games. Not quite his regular production, but just wait. He's playing for a Lions offense that should be rolling on all cylinders in London this week against the Atlanta Falcons.

6. RB Mark Ingram - New Orleans Saints

I predicted Ingram would hit the ground running last week, and though he failed to produce much, he did lead the Saints in touches. The rest of the Saints' running committee failed to impress, so the Saints will keep chugging with Ingram this week against the Green Bay Packers, who have given up seven touchdowns to teams that run by committee like the Saints will. Ingram should at least pick up one score this week with a good amount of yards.

I'm not sure what it is. Everyone's jumping on the Cowboys bandwagon, yet no one is picking up their defense -- owned in just 20 percent of leagues. Yes, it's their offense that is getting the work done, but their defense hasn't been a sham this season. Maybe they aren't worth a start every week, but considering their matchup against a troubled Washington Redskins offense this week, they are very well worth a start in Week 8.

4. WR Dwayne Bowe - Kansas City Chiefs

Bowe isn't what he was just a few seasons ago, but neither is his team. However, he might remind owners what he used to often produce this week, going against the Rams. Bowe has put up two eight-point performances in the past three games and the Rams have allowed a WR touchdown in four straight games. Bowe is in a prime spot to snag one TD this week and should reach a season-high in yards as well.

3. RB Jerick McKinnon - Minnesota Vikings

It's safe to say that you just need to follow the running back of the Vikings. There's no Adrian Peterson right now, but there hasn't been a shortage of great production from Vikings running backs. Whether it be Matt Asiata, or McKinnon, they've been producing. Now the weight is on McKinnon's shoulders, but coming off a 10-point performance and facing a weak Buccaneers defense, he should have no problem replicating his success.

I'm not sure Davis really qualifies as a sleeper anymore, expectations have been high for him in the past few weeks. But less than 20 percent of leagues own him. He's averaging over two touchdowns a game and has been successful against elite defenses, so the Chiefs should pose no true threat to him. He's riding a hot streak that shouldn't stop any time soon.

In their six games this season, the Oakland Raiders have allowed five running backs to have double-digit performances. That bodes well for Ben Tate who after missing some time early this season has averaged over eleven points per game since the bye week. He may miss a touchdown to Isaiah Crowell, but Tate will continue to be the feature back and pay off for owners that hung on to him during his injury.
