One of the most important aspects of winning any FanDuel league is making sure to pick somewhat cheaper players who get around 20 points. With a favorable matchup in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin should be in your lineup.
The Panthers rank 22nd in passing yards allowed per game, and according to ESPN, they also rank fourth-worst overall in the number of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. Last week against the Green Bay Packers, Carolina allowed Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb to put up a combined total of 201 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 receptions.
With the departure of Percy Harvin to the New York Jets, Wilson’s explosive receiving threat is now gone, meaning that he will have to rely on other receivers to get the job done. Baldwin has already proven his worth this season, so he should have an even bigger role now that more of the offense depends on his success.
Marshawn Lynch is going to carry the majority of the workload for the Seahawks this weekend, but his play should open up the passing game for Russell Wilson and the Seattle offense. Baldwin currently leads the Seahawks in receiving yards and targets, which means that he should be Wilson’s go-to receiver against the Panthers.
At just $6,800 in FanDuel leagues, Baldwin is a must-have steal who could make a major impact on your team, as well as open up space for a more expensive player at another position.
