Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire: Lorenzo Taliaferro

The running back situation for the Baltimore Ravens continues to be more and more confusing for fantasy football owners. It started with former All-Pro running back Ray Rice, but he is obviously no longer in the picture after being kicked off the team. The rock then went to Bernard Pierce, but Justin Forsett quickly supplanted him as the team’s main ball carrier.

Despite the team’s recent infatuation with Forsett, RB Lorenzo Taliferro has steadily seen carries in recent weeks. Taliferro has seen nine and 10 touches in the past two weeks respectively, but more importantly he is receiving the majority of the goal line carries for there Ravens.

Taliferro has four touchdowns on the year, all of which have been within the 10-yard line, and he continues to see the ball when the team needs the tough yards. Touchdowns are hard to come by for running backs nowadays, and the mere fact that he will see most of the goal line touchdowns increases his overall fantasy value.

With all the worthless backs around the fantasy world still occupying rosters spots (Doug Martin, Zac Stacy, C.J. Spiller and Isaiah Crowell to name a few), it is shocking to see that Tailferro is only owned in 43.3% of ESPN formats.

So if you have an early waiver wire priority this week and could use another back, make sure to put in for LT with your first pick.
