In Week 12, the Cleveland Browns’ offense will be getting a massive boost at wide receiver with Josh Gordon officially being reinstated after his suspension. In 2013, Gordon emerged has one of the best WR’s in the NFL despite only playing in 14 games. For fantasy football owners, Gordon can be a total season-changer heading into the final stretch of fantasy football season.
After a disappointing Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans at home, the Browns’ offense was only able to score seven points, which just simply won’t get it done. Brian Hoyer has had a very nice year so far for the 6-4 Browns, and he is more than likely one of the happiest people in Cleveland to have his best WR back in the lineup.
In 2013, Gordon caught 87 passes for 1,646 yards with nine touchdowns. Those stats put Gordon as one of the best WR’s in football, and that translates into fantasy football. Getting a talent like Gordon off the waiver wire is an absolute steal.
The game for Gordon to comeback to couldn’t have been much better, as the Browns will be facing off against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons’ defense has not been good this season by any means, as they are giving up 25.5 PPG. With giving up that many points per game, obviously the Falcons are giving up a lot of yards per game, which is good for Gordon. The 403.4 yards per game the Falcons allow is second worst in the NFL.
All fantasy football owners should be checking the waiver wire as quickly as possible to try and get Gordon, as he will likely be able to produce instant results in Week 12, and can help teams immensely come fantasy football playoff time.
