Top 5 NBA FanDuel Bargains For Dec. 19

There are 10 games scheduled for tonight's NBA action, and there are a good number of bargain players to roster as a result. Considering the fact that there are premium-priced players such as LeBron James and John Wall, it will be important to select the correct bargain plays tonight if you wish to roster one or more of the superstars. With that said, let's take a look at the five biggest NBA bargains on FanDuel for Dec. 19.

If Dion Waiters were more consistent, then I would feel more confident placing him higher on this list. His matchup tonight is favorable as the Brooklyn Nets are ranked 29th against opposing SGs. Additionally, Waiters has averaged 24.3 fantasy points over his last two games which means he's been justifying his price lately. Therefore, this is a good game for Waiters to score at least 24 and make value again.

Derrick Rose has not traveled with the Chicago Bulls for their game tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. Therefore, it's highly unlikely that he will suit up tonight, and this bodes extremely well for Aaron Brooks. The Grizzlies have been struggling against opposing PGs lately and have been ranked 25th in that regard over their last five games. Brooks should at least be able to score 17.5 to make value and perhaps more.

Kelly Olynyk has been playing very well lately for the Boston Celtics, but I don't consider his current price of $ 6000 to be a bargain. He would need to score 30 to meet value, and it's no guarantee with his hit-or-miss outputs. Therefore, I prefer Tyler Zeller against the Minnesota Timberwolves and their 29th rank defense against centers. Zeller has averaged 23.4 points over his last five games and needs 24.5 to make value. He is the safer bet.

2. Patrick Patterson - PF - Toronto Raptors ($4900)

Both PFs on the Toronto Raptors make great bargain plays tonight against the Detroit Pistons and their 28th rank defense against PFs. Some people may prefer Amir Johnson, but I worry about his ability to grab enough rebounds with Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond around him. Therefore, Patrick Patterson is the preferred, and cheaper, option since Monroe is weaker at guarding the perimeter and that's the strength of Pat-Pat's game.

This former McDonald's All-American has been on fire lately and showing the upside of his scoring prowess. Over his last four games, Muhammad has averaged 30.1 fantasy points while needing 27.5 to justify his price. He gets to face a Boston Celtics team that has struggled mightily against SFs recently. Additionally, the latest rumor is that Muhammad may be starting, making him the top bargain baller on FanDuel tonight.
