Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup for Dec. 26

Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup for Dec. 26

Yesterday's Christmas lineup was a true gift as it went for 301.2 points and should have cashed in any head-to-head, 50-50 or GPP that you entered last night. However, today is a new day and the slate of 10 games is twice as much as it was for yesterday. Therefore, there are more premium players to choose from and the perfect lineup can be constructed in a myriad of ways. Let's take a look at one of the ways this can be achieved.

George Hill finally made his regular season debut against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday and finished with 24.3 fantasy points in only 21 minutes of court time. His minutes will be ramping up over the next few games, and his inevitable supplanting of C.J. Watson as the starting PG may happen before the end of the year. Tonight, he faces a Detroit Pistons team ranked 25th against opposing PGs, and he should be good for at least 26 points.

With Kevin Durant ruled out for tonight's contest against the Charlotte Hornets, a lot of the production will need to come from Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka and Reggie Jackson. Facing a Hornets team that is notoriously bad at defending PGs, this matchup bodes well for the former Boston College star. He should be good for at least 30 fantasy points tonight, but probably won't touch 40 since outputs that high are in Westbrook's territory.

Over his last three games, Dion Waiters has averaged 25.8 fantasy points while needing to score 24.5 to justify his price. Some may shy away from his matchup against the Orlando Magic since they're a top 10 team against opposing SGs. However, Orlando is also ranked 20th against opposing bench players and that's what Waiters is. This makes him a sneaky pick for tonight to score at least 23 fantasy points with 30-point upside.

The sharpshooting Kyle Korver seems to be finding a groove as of late. Over his last three games, he has averaged 26.8 fantasy points while needing 27.5 to justify his current price. While there will always be a concern for Korver to have an off night, his chances for that happening tonight are rather low as he faces the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are ranked 27th against opposing SGs, which bodes well for Korver to flirt with 30 fantasy points.

After going through a four-game stretch where he averaged less than 20 fantasy points, DeMarre Carroll has come back to life by averaging 28.1 fantasy points over his last three. This includes a 39-point explosion in his last game. Expectations should be tempered regarding him eclipsing 30, but facing a Milwaukee Bucks team ranked 20th against SFs is a favorable situation for it to happen. Realistically, he should be good for at least 25.

Wilson Chandler's hot start to the month of December has significantly cooled down over his last three games. Over that span, he has averaged an awful 14.9 fantasy points and is coming nowhere close to making value. In seven games prior to that, he was averaging 28.1 and that is what is expected of him for his price. He should bounce back tonight against a Minnesota Timberwolves team ranked 27th against SFs. I predict a 30-plus night for him.

The last time that Anthony Davis faced the San Antonio Spurs (Nov. 8), he finished with a monstrous output of 58.3 fantasy points. It exceeded his value back then and that output would exceed his current value as well. He needs to score 56.5 to justify his price tonight, and the Spurs are currently ranked 21st against opposing PFs. The Brow has a floor of at least 45 tonight, and I feel that this will be a 60-plus night for him.

Over his last two games as starting PF for the Orlando Magic, Kyle O'Quinn has averaged 32.9 fantasy points while needing around 25 to justify his price. His matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers looks OK on paper as the Cavs are ranked 14th against opposing PFs. However, with Anderson Varejao out, Shawn Marion is now the starting PF for them. O'Quinn should be able to take advantage of the size mismatch and score at least 25 tonight.

Ever since returning from his bout with viral meningitis, Boogie has been an absolute beast by averaging 47.7 fantasy points over his last three games. Tonight, he is my top overall pick against a Phoenix Suns team that is the worst in the NBA at defending centers. Monitor his status closely as it's been reported that he is a game-time decision with a stomach illness. If he does end up playing, then expect no less than 50 fantasy points from him.
