Building The Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Dec. 28

Building the perfect NBA FanDuel lineup is a difficult chore, so I hope this helps you out. Keep in mind that the NBA can be tricky on DFS sites, considering there are many "game-time decisions" and random days off to worry about. Always double-check to ensure all these players are scheduled to play as expected.
PG - Ronnie Price - Los Angeles Lakers - $4,700

While Ronnie Price is still averaging less fantasy points per game than teammate Jeremy Lin, make no mistake, he is still the better option, as there are plenty of games where he played virtually zero minutes factored into that figure. He plays anywhere between 26-30 minutes since entering the starting lineup and should have no trouble reaching -- and even exceeding -- value against Phoenix, which ranks 21st against PGs.
PG - Russell Westbrook - Oklahoma City Thunder - $11,800

Coming off of a down game for his standards, Russell Westbrook's ownership percentage will probably down a bit considering his $ 11,800 price. Kevin Durant is currently listed as a GTD, but even if he plays, one has to assume he will be on a minutes limit his first game back from an ankle. I think it's safe to expect Westbrook to hit 50, and he undoubtedly has 60-plus upside despite the tough road matchup against the Dallas Mavericks.
SG - Wesley Matthews - Portland Trail Blazers - $5,500

For $ 5,500, Wesley Matthews is just an incredibly safe option, averaging 24.6 fantasy points per game and playing home against the New York Knickerbockers -- a team with seemingly everything in its way -- yet still does not understand what the word "defense" means. Barring a bludgeoning (which is possible), I expect Matthews to hit 30 fantasy points with ease.
SG - James Harden - Houston Rockets - $11,400

I just simply don't see any San Antonio Spurs' SG slowing down James Harden, despite the team being ranked ninth against the two spot. Harden's price is steep, but he has his fantasy PPG average up to almost 48 now, and has another scoring option in his rotation that opposing defenders need to pay attention to with Josh Smith's arrival in Houston. The Texas teams do not like each other and always give a bit extra during these rivalry matchups.
SF - Terrence Ross - Toronto Raptors - $4,600

After spending a king's ransom on the combo of Westbrook and Harden, an upside value play was a dire necessity, this is incontrovertible. Since DeMar DeRozan went down to injury, the Toronto Raptors have asked a few players to pick up the slack and perhaps none have been more reliable than Terrence Ross, who contributes whether he starts at SG or SF. Expect 25 fantasy points, hope for 30-plus.
SF - Wilson Chandler - Denver Nuggets - $5,600

Wilson Chandler is a stellar upside play for two reasons: first, he averages six rebounds a game, which makes his floor high. Secondly, while he averages just under 15 points per game, he can score 25 or more any given night and hit 40 fantasy points, which assassinates value for $ 5,600. Toronto is not particularly good at defending the wing (22nd), which bodes well for Chandler in what will be a high-scoring contest.
PF - Amir Johnson - Toronto Raptors - $4,800

You can essentially pick your poison between Amir Johnson and Patrick (Pat Patt) Patterson from the Toronto Raptors, as they are essentially the exact same player for fantasy purposes. They play similar minutes, possess similar averages, and are almost identically priced. The Denver Nuggets' frontcourt is always one to target against, as defense is being taught to it as a second language this season it appears.
PF - Kenneth Faried - Denver Nuggets - $5,600

Kenneth Faried is an enigma, but you know this already because it is overwhelmingly unassailable. However, he is coming off of a 56-plus fantasy point performance and draws a terrific matchup against Toronto and the aforementioned Johnson and Patterson combo. There are lots of fantasy points to be had from this game -- don't miss out.
C - Jordan Hill - Los Angeles Lakers - $5,900

Jordan Hill just is not a popular NBA player, but he is undoubtedly a "lunchpail" option for fantasy basketball purposes, averaging 26 fantasy PPG and playing big time minutes as the Los Angeles Lakers' most important big man. Neither Alex Len nor Miles Plumlee will get in his way as they play a brand of 'what is defense?' defense. Expect 30 fantasy points, enjoy the 35.
