Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Jan. 7

Building The Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Jan. 7

After a stingy offering of only two games last night, the NBA comes back in full force for Super Wednesday with 13 games. Therefore, unlike last night, FanDuel players will have nearly the entire league to choose from to build the perfect lineup, and there are a multitude of ways to do it. Allow me to show you one of those ways and help your chances of cashing in on a huge night of NBA action.

Darren Collison is having a career season in his first year with the Sacramento Kings, and I expect his great production to continue tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Russell Westbrook is an amazing offensive player, but he doesn't stop anyone as proven by the Thunder's rank of 25th against opposing PGs. In a contest with an over/under of 214.5 and a competitive spread, Collison should finish with at least 30 and may flirt with 40.

With Deron Williams already ruled as doubtful for the Brooklyn Nets' matchup against the Boston Celtics, Jarrett Jack will be allowed to log as many minutes as he can handle. This was the situation for his last game against the Dallas Mavericks when he scored 36.8 fantasy points. Keep in mind that Dallas defends PGs much better than Boston, and this bodes extremely well for Jack to score at least 30 to justify his current price.

Not only should Jimmy Buckets be a starter for the All-Star game, but he should should also be in your lineup tonight as well. He gets to face a Utah Jazz team that's currently ranked 26th in defensive efficiency against SGs, and Butler is currently the best SG in the Eastern Conference. The only concern is if he will score 47.5 to justify his price tonight, and I feel that he's good for at least 40 which is nothing to complain about.

Ever since returning from injury six games ago, Tony Allen has averaged 22.2 fantasy points and makes for a superb value play tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks are currently ranked 21st in defensive efficiency against SGs, and they're also ranked 19th in turnovers per game. Stealing the ball is one of Allen's strongest features, so he should have a good night offensively and defensively. He should score between 24 and 30.

The Cleveland Cavaliers must be second-guessing their decision to trade Wiggins over the summer with the way he's been playing lately. His early-season struggles are a thing of the past as he has been one of the hottest players in the league lately. Over his last seven games, he has averaged 32.3 fantasy points and gets to face a Phoenix Suns team with issues guarding longer, athletic wings such as himself. I expect another 30-plus game from him.

4. (SF) Shabazz Muhammad - Minnesota Timberwolves - $6500

We're going to double-dip with the Minnesota wing players today. The combination of Andrew Wiggins and Shabazz Muhammad is quickly starting to look like a duo for the league to fear for years. The Phoenix Suns are ranked 27th against opposing SFs, and Muhammad has averaged 26 fantasy points over his last seven games. If you exclude his two "foul trouble" games, then his average is over 30, and that's the type of output I expect from him tonight.

3. (PF) Kevin Love - Cleveland Cavaliers - $10,100

With LeBron James and Kyrie Irving out, Kevin Love will put up the massive stats that he would with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In his first game without both superstars, he scored 54.8 fantasy points. Some may discredit this because it was against the Philadelphia 76ers, but Love is nearly matchup-proof due to the current situation. He faces the Houston Rockets tonight who have been struggling against PFs, so another 50-point night is possible.

John Henson continues to be a great bargain player as he nearly produces a fantasy point per minute. His current price means that he needs to score 22.5 fantasy points, and he has averaged 20.6. This included a 3.2 dud against the New York Knicks where Henson was in early foul trouble, but he's avoided foul trouble situations for most of the season. He gets to face the Philadelphia 76ers tonight and should score at least 24 with no issues.

Ever since Brian Shaw started giving this young Bosnian center more minutes four games ago, Nurkic has averaged 33.2 fantasy points. He has come as a pleasant surprise and provides the Nuggets with a tougher and stronger defensive presence in the middle. Speaking of strong defensive presences, the Orlando Magic have none against opposing centers and this bodes well for Nurkic to score at least 25 to make value. Don't be surprised if he scores 35.
