Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup For Jan. 10

Tonight, there are seven games on the NBA schedule and this limits the amount of options available when compared to last night's 11-game slate. Additionally, this an interesting night as there is a significantly lower number of premium priced players and this means that we can take a slightly more balanced approach to building the perfect FanDuel lineup for tonight. Let's take a look at how it's done.

After putting the NBA on alert during the first two months of the season that they're a legitimate threat for the Eastern Conference championship, the Toronto Raptors have hit some tough times lately. They're currently on a four-game losing streak, but this should change tonight against the Boston Celtics and Kyle Lowry will be the main reason why. He's averaging 43.4 fantasy points over his last four games and will score 40-plus again tonight.

I know that I recommended Brandon Knight yesterday, and it didn't pan out. However, he only played 23 minutes last night as the Milwaukee Bucks had the Minnesota Timberwolves under control by halftime. He still scored 19 fantasy points and he would have scored more if the game was competitive. Tonight's matchup against the Chicago Bulls will be closer and Knight will play more minutes. He will bounce back with 30-plus tonight.

After a few sub-par performances for his All-Star standards, James Harden appears to be heating back up. In his last three games, he has scored 30.9, 37.9 and 46.3 fantasy points in that order. He needs 54 fantasy points to justify his current price, and against a Utah Jazz team that doesn't defend his position well, I will go out on a limb and say that The Beard will score at least 50 fantasy points tonight.
(SG) Evan Turner - Boston Celtics - $5300

The recent Jeff Green trade has really opened up things in the Boston Celtics offense. Although Evan Turner starts at the PG position for them, he is versatile enough to play SG (his natural position) and SF. Therefore, he will have different types of usage in different situations. Facing a Toronto Raptors team that's been ranked 27th over their last five games in defending the wing position bodes well for Turner to score at least 27.
(SF) C.J. Miles - Indiana Pacers - $5300

Over his last six games, C.J. Miles has averaged 26 fantasy points and that's what he will need to score tonight to justify his price. Miles has been seeing a steady workload lately and his minutes seem to have stabilized into the 29 to 34 range. Facing an awful Philadelphia 76ers team tonight that can't stop anyone at any position lines up well for Miles to hit a few three pointers and score at least 28 fantasy points.

Khris Middleton has been seeing a stable dose of minutes and production over the past couple of weeks. He has averaged 26.2 fantasy points over the last six game, which has consistently justified his price over that span. Facing a Chicago Bulls team ranked 18th in defending SFs bodes well for him especially since they've been struggling to defend the position lately. Middleton should be able to score at least 24 with 28-plus upside.
(PF) Greg Monroe - Detroit Pistons - $7500

To say that Josh Smith's departure has opened up things for Greg Monroe would be an understatement. Monroe has been the starting PF for the Pistons since the trade and is currently in the midst of a five-game double-double streak. Although he faces a Brooklyn Nets team that defends PFs well, I still like Monroe's chances to score at least 35 fantasy points due to his increased usage. He is a great tournament play for tonight.
(PF) Patrick Patterson - Toronto Raptors - $4300

While Patrick Patterson hasn't eclipsed the 20-fantasy point mark in his last six games, he has a great chance to change that tonight against the Boston Celtics. They're currently ranked 27th in defensive efficiency against opposing PFs and their style of play is a better fit for Pat-Pat's "Stretch 4" abilities. He needs to score 21.5 fantasy points to justify his dirt cheap price, and I believe that he will at least score 20 tonight.

Tiago Splitter is one of those players that I find myself looking at for a few seconds, and then being scared off. However, his recent production of 24.1 fantasy points over the last three games has increased my confidence. Additionally, he gets to face a Minnesota Timberwolves team that is dead last at guarding against opposing centers. Therefore, Splitter should be good for at least 22 fantasy points with sneaky 30-plus upside.
