Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup for Jan. 13

Building the perfect NBA FanDuel lineup is a difficult chore, so I hope this helps you out. Keep in mind that the NBA can be tricky on DFS sites, considering there are many "game-time decisions" and random days off to worry about. Always double-check to ensure all these players are scheduled to play as expected.

Trey Burke is beginning to finally play to what many believe he is capable of consistently, as in his last four games he has scored 28, 17, 20 and 16 points on the floor respectively while adding his typical five rebounds and five assists along with a few steals sprinkled in here and there. Thus, reaching 30 fantasy points (5x value) is no chore currently and can be expected against the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry.

The Atlanta Hawks will be beating up the Philadelphia 76ers down low in this game, thus leading to plenty of penetrate and dish scenarios to a wide open Kyle Korver from three-point land. For $5,200 he only needs about 27.5 fantasy points to reach 5x value making him a very safe quasi punt-play.
SG - Monta Ellis - Dallas Mavericks - $7,500

Monta Ellis is averaging 20.8 points per game on the floor this season and rarely scores less than 15. This means his floor is as high as his ceiling as on a bad night he's going to give you 25 fantasy points -- but could hit 40 -- especially now with Rajon Rondo as his backcourt mate. Ben McLemore of the Sacramento Kings should scare absolutely no one from playing Ellis, even on the road.
SF - Andrew Wiggins - Minnesota Timberwolves - $7,000

Andrew Wiggins has been showing exactly why he was such a coveted pick this offseason as he has scored between 18-27 points on the floor in his last seven games while averaging five rebounds and three assists over the stretch in addition. Occasionally he will also gather four steals and really crush value, which should happen considering the Minnesota Timberwolves are without Shabazz Muhammad. Even if Kevin Martin plays, fire up Wiggins.
SF - Chase Budinger - Minnesota Timberwolves - $3,500

Disclaimer: this pick relies heavily on circumstance. If Kevin Martin returns for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chase Budinger will not start and likely only see 15 minutes. However, if Martin doesn't, Budinger should start and push over 20 -- thus making it fairly difficult for him to disappoint you as he only needs 17.5 fantasy points to hit 5x value at minimum price.
PF - David West - Indiana Pacers - $6,700

David West is coming off of a monster 28-point and nine rebound bludgeoning of the Philadelphia 76ers, so the rumors of him being somewhat hindered by a nagging injury are a tad erroneous -- or at least it appears that way. Thad Young is not going to intimidate West very much, and expecting 20 and ten as a ceiling is far from outrageous.

Tarik Black filled in admirably for the Houston Rockets this season when they were without both Terrence Jones and Dwight Howard at the same time. Yet, when the team signed Josh Smith, Houston made the tough decision to let Black go. Now with the Los Angeles Lakers, he's finally seeing some playing time. At near minimum price and likely to play right around 20 minutes, he should be an adequate punt-play considering he can double-double any night.

DeMarcus Cousins is on a rampage lately as he averages over 20-points and ten rebounds per game and is coming off of a 26 point, 13 rebound, five assist, four steal and three block performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. Despite being known a solid defender, Tyson Chandler of the Dallas Mavericks has been middle of the road at best at allowing fantasy production to opposing centers. Fire up Boogie with confidence.
