This is a pivotal time in the season for fantasy basketball team owners. You can't afford to make the wrong waiver pick up. If you need scoring, here are the top five scorers who are available in a lot of leagues.

The reason Shabazz Muhammad is at No. 5 is because of his current injury. He has missed a little more than a week already, and likely has another week until he will be back in the Minnesota Timberwolves' lineup. When he is on the court, however, he can really score it. He's too big for most small forwards to guard and he has been rejuvenated this season. He averages just under 14 ppg and is shooting close to 49 percent from the field.

Avery Bradley's stock has risen due to the Boston Celtics' recent trades. He is currently the team's second leading scorer at just under 13 ppg. He will continue to get plenty of opportunities as the Celtics' top guard; he can also help out your fantasy roster for three pointers and free throw percentage.

Louis WIlliams is one of the top candidates for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. He is a spark plug off the bench for the Toronto Raptors, averaging 15 points per game, and he is also very consistent. He has scored in double digits in eight of the Raptors' nine games this month. With DeMar DeRozan back in the lineup, his numbers may see a slight dip.

Swaggy P has been very good for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. He gets a lot of hype for his off court antics, but he has always been a solid player on the court as well. He is averaging 14.6 ppg this season and has been heating up the last couple games. He has scored more than 20 points in each of his last two games, and has been very efficient in doing so.

Tony Wroten has been one of the few bright spots for the Philadelphia 76ers this season. He is averaging just under 17 ppg and is the 76ers' leading scorer. The only reason he has become available in many leagues is because of a knee injury that has caused him to miss the last few games. It is a risky pick-up, but it will have high rewards if he comes back within the next week or two.
