Building the Perfect NBA DraftKings Lineup For Jan. 23

Building the perfect NBA DraftKings lineup is a difficult chore, so I hope this helps you out. Keep in mind that the NBA can be tricky on DFS sites, considering there are many "game-time decisions" and random days off to worry about. Always double-check to ensure all these players are scheduled to play as expected.

Although the Chicago Bulls rank sixth in the NBA at allowing fantasy points to opposing PGs, Rajon Rondo of the Dallas Mavericks is still an elite play at $ 7,200. The Mavericks score a ton of points, and Chicago is not the defensive team it has been known as under the Tom Thibodeau regime. Many will fade Dallas players because of this facade, but you should not.
SG - Eric Gordon - New Orleans Pelicans - $5,500

With Jrue Holiday out, and Tyreke Evans starting at PG, Eric Gordon has been excelling in a starting role at SG for the New Orleans Pelicans. The oft-injured SG started the year hurt -- again -- but has really turned it on as of late, as he's accumulated 25 or more fantasy points in six straight games and has been between 27.5 and 41.75 over his last four. Since 5x value is just 27.5 for Gordon currently, he's a felt certainty to do so.
SF - Draymond Green - Golden State Warriors - $7,700

Perhaps the biggest surprise in fantasy basketball circles this year has been the perfomance of Draymond Green for the Golden State Warriors. Averaging 11.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists, he truly does a bit of everything. Against the Sacramento Kings, who give up the fourth most fantasy points to the SF position thanks to Rudy Gay, Green projects to be good for fantasy gold.
PF - Jared Sullinger - Boston Celtics - $6,600

Jared Sullinger gave himself a bad reputation in fantasy land earlier season with his maddeningly inconsistent play, but he has really turned it on since the Boston Celtics' front office traded Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green, the team masseuse and seemingly anything that wasn't bolted into the ground of their arena away. Sullinger has six straight games of 27 fantasy points or more and could hit his 40 point upside against the Denver Nuggets' bigs.
C - Jordan Hill - Los Angeles Lakers - $5,700

It appears as if Kobe Bryant will be missing significant time with a torn rotator cuff, so the Los Angeles Lakers will be in need of additional scoring from their frontcourt, and in particular, center Jordan Hill. Over his last four games, Hill's accumulated 32.75, 24.75, 33.25 and 36.5 fantasy points respectively, essentially reaching or exceeding value. Against Tiago Splitter, or whoever Gregg Popvich decides to play, Hill should hit 30 FP.
G - Kyle Korver - Atlanta Hawks - $4,900

The Atlanta Hawks host the Oklahoma City Thunder in what should be an interesting game considering Atlanta is very balanced, and the Thunder are top-heavy with PG Russell Westbrook and SF Kevin Durant. One thing is certain, there's going to be a lot of fantasy production coming out of this one, so don't miss out. Kyle Korver has an ideal matchup against the Thunder's twos, particularly when Dion "no defense, just shots" Waiters guards him.
F - Tobias Harris - Orlando Magic - $6,400

Tobias Harris missed about two weeks for the Orlando Magic, but looked good in his return on Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons with 19 points, five rebounds and an assist for 27.5 fantasy points. Although on the road, the Orlando Magic take on the putrid D-league New York Knicks. Thus, Harris matches up against Carmelo Anthony, who plays a brand of "I get paid to score" defense, which sets up Harris for fantasy gold at $ 6,400.

Jonas Valanciunas is currently listed as questionable as I write this -- so if he is indeed ruled out or expected to see limited minutes -- for the same price of $ 5,900, Dallas Mavericks SF Chandler Parsons is an ideal swap. However, if Valanciunas plays, he sees the worst defense against centers in the NBA of the Philadelphia 76ers and should exceed 5x value (30 fantasy points) with utter ease.
