Building the Perfect NBA FanDuel Lineup for Jan. 31

After a frustrating Friday where Matt Barnes might as well have stayed home, Chandler Parsons was sick and James Harden came nowhere close to justifying his price, we're faced with a new day and 11 NBA games to sift through. There are many ways to go about building the perfect FanDuel lineup to win tonight and I'm about to show you one of those ways. Please make sure to stay up to date on current news to avoid late scratch shenanigans.

Over his last three games, Stephen Curry has averaged 46.7 fantasy points even though his shooting has been off during that span. Tonight, he gets to face a Phoenix Suns team who rank 11th in defensive efficiency against PGs, but their recent performances haven't been indicative of that ranking. They're actually ranked 25th in that regard over their last three games and are ripe for Curry's picking. He will score at least 40 with 50-plus upside.

I wrote up Brian Roberts as a top value play a few days ago and it ended up being an absolute disaster. However, Roberts seems to have settled down over his past two games by averaging 24.9 fantasy points during that span. He is the clear starting PG for the foreseeable future with Kemba Walker being out after undergoing surgery. Facing a Denver Nuggets team that's average, at best, at guarding PGs bodes well for him to score 22-plus.

Over his last four games, Monta Ellis has scored 46, 22.7, 44.3 and 27.7 fantasy points. His current trend has him poised to score at least 32 with 40-plus upside against an Orlando Magic team struggling to guard SGs lately. I'm even more confident in Ellis' potential tonight since he's been shooting 52.7 percent from the field over his last five games despite having an off Friday night. He is my favorite SG tonight for under $ 8,000.

Over his last three games, Rodney Stuckey has exceed the value of his current price by averaging 28 fantasy points. His chances to have another night of 28-plus fantasy points are very high tonight against a Sacramento Kings team ranked 26th in defensive efficiency against SGs. Additionally, they've been ranked dead last in that regard over their last three to five games. Stuckey may be inconsistent at times, but I like him for 30 tonight.

Over his last four games, Trevor Ariza has averaged 21.9 fantasy points and he needs to score 26 tonight to justify his current price. Luckily for him, the Houston Rockets get to face the Detroit Pistons tonight and they're horrific at guarding SFs. They're currently ranked 25th in that regard and have shown no signs of improvement over the past couple of weeks. This bodes well for Ariza to score 25, but don't be surprised if he scores 30-plus.

Gerald Henderson is the type of player who can drive daily fantasy players insane due to his sudden spurts of brilliance in between spurts of inconsistency. For example, over his last five games, he has ranged between the scores of nine and 29.7 fantasy points. However, facing a Denver Nuggets team currently ranked 27th against opposing SGs (his actual position) bodes well for Henderson to score around 25 and making value.
(PF) Kevin Love - Cleveland Cavaliers - $8,400

The last time that Kevin Love faced his former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, he finished with a good score of 36.5 fantasy points. However, his price was much higher than his current $ 8,400, so he didn't come close to making value in that contest. Tonight, in his first contest against them in Minnesota, I feel Love will deliver a special night by recording an easy double-double and eclipsing 40 for his first time since five games ago.
(PF) Paul Millsap - Atlanta Hawks - $8,400

This was an easy selection for me. The Atlanta Hawks are in the midst of an 18-game winning streak and the Philadelphia 76ers probably won't win 18 games for the entire season. Additionally, they're currently ranked 28th against opposing PFs and it's also a position that they seem to be defending less effectively over their last three to five games. This game may end up being a blowout, but it won't stop Millsap from scoring between 35 and 45.

After missing Tuesday's matchup against the Chicago Bulls due to an illness, Andrew Bogut returned to action last night against the Utah Jazz. While his 13.8-fantasy point output was disappointing, it must be noted that Bogut was averaging 30.5 fantasy points over his last three games prior to his illness. Facing a Phoenix Suns team that has non-existent defense against centers bodes well for Bogut to bounce back and score 26-plus.
