VIDEO: Phil Mickelson Flop Shot At Masters
Phil Mickelson is a magician around the green. His flop shots are a thing of beauty and this one on 15 allowed Phil to tie for the lead at 7 under. With Tiger Woods struggling again, everyone wants Phil to do well to keep interest in the Masters. When Phil is on his game, he’s one of the best to play the game of golf.
Look at how high that shot goes. It is ridiculous. It probably goes higher than it does farther. Shots like this are a deadly part of Mickelson’s game. He is one of the best players around the green and not a lot of guys even think to attempt shots like that.
Phil Mickelson has been on the charge all day. He made an eagle at 13 to tie for the lead and send the crowd into a frenzy.
This is setting up to be a great finish to the tournament. There is nothing better than the final round of the Masters when Phil or Tiger is in the hunt. I was hoping both would be on their game, but we have to settle for just Phil. If he keeps hitting shots like this, I think we will be able to manage.
I expect that Phil is going to be right in the hunt until the final hole. He struggled early during this tournament but his play over the last two days has been incredible. It is going to be a fun ride until the green jacket is finally handed out.
Mickelson finished the day with a six under 66 and at eight under for the tournament.
