Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay May Have Dropped 2012 NFL Draft Tips on Twitter

Jim Irsay, a.k.a “The Mad Tweeter”, has a history of cryptic statements concerning his Indianapolis Colts on social media. Irsay’s posts on Twitter in the past have ranged from odd song lyrics, to 4am rants about Peyton Manning during the week of Super Bowl XLVI. The owner of the Colts also drops a tip or two here and there concerning where Indianapolis may or may not go with the number one overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Irsay released a tweet on Tuesday afternoon, describing a three-hour meeting with quarterback, Andrew Luck.

Even in its own odd way, this tweet seems to be the most definitive depiction of what the Colts may decide to do in the draft with their first round pick. Maybe Irsay, new head coach Chuck Pagano, and new general manager Ryan Grigson, have been paying attention to the Rant Sports 2012 NFL Mock Draft, which has Andrew Luck going to Indianapolis with the first overall pick. Had Luck declared for the NFL Draft last season, he very well could have still been drafted with the the number one pick in the first round.

With circumstances as they currently are in Indianapolis, the Colts find themselves with only career back-up quarterback, Drew Stanton, on their roster. It just so happens that the Colts have stumbled upon a popular top-notch quarterback prospect in Luck, and it would seem that Irsay and his team is quite impressed and interested in the young signal caller. Still, when it comes to the “Mad Tweeter”, the rest of the world won’t know for sure until the Colts are officially on the clock, April 26th.
