Tyson Alualu Has Surgery To Repair Knee
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Tyson Alualu has been playing at less than 100 percent health for his entire NFL career.
Alualu hopes to be completely healthy for the first time in his professional career this season after he had surgery on the right knee that has been bothering him since his first preseason in Jacksonville.
Despite the injury, Alualu has played in all 32 games over his first two seasons with the Jaguars. Now with a healthy knee, the Jaguars hope he can live up to the potential that led them to select him with the 10th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
The Jaguars hope that with a healthy Alualu and a lighter Terrance Knighton manning the middle of their defensive line in 2012 they will see a throwback to the stingy defenses that were led by Marcus Stroud and John Henderson in the early 2000′s.
The procedure on Alualu’s right knee was minor and the Jaguars expect him to be ready for camp.
