After one week of football, the Rant Sports Heisman Watch turns out several new names. Gone are Marcus Lattimore, Landry Jones and Denard Robinson. In are De’Anthony Thomas, Le’Veon Bell and Geno Smith.
Thomas accounted for three first half TD’s and showed game breaking ability in a win over Arkansas State, while Bell was the Michgan State offense after racking up 44 carries in a victory over ranked Boise State in primetime television.
Geno Smith earned some first place votes and closed the gap on Matt Barkley after a near perfect game against Marshall.
