The Miami Heat put a 118-83 thumping on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night to pick up their sixth victory of the young NBA season. Making the victory even more impressive for Miami is that they did it without All Star Dwayne Wade who missed the game with a lingering foot injury.
The remaining members of Miami’s Big Three, Chris Bosh and LeBron James, picked up the slack in Wade’s absence. James had a dominating performance as he led the Heat with 33 points and 13 assists. King James also pitched in with 8 rebounds. Bosh continued his hot start with 22 points and 6 rebounds against the Pacers.
James Jones took Wade’s spot in the starting lineup. Jones made the most of his opportunity as he scored 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting from beyond the three point line.
LeBron James suuffered an apparent ankle injury late in the Indiana game. The status for James, along with Wade, is questionnable for Thursday’s rematch with the Atlanta Hawks.
