Edwin Jackson showed exactly why the White Sox traded for him as he dominated his former team as the White Sox won 4-1. Jackson put all of the questioning about his control on hold as he got his first win in a White Sox uniform in controlling fashion. Jackson went 7 innings plus a batter giving up just 1 run on 9 hits. He had one walk and 6 strikeouts. If the one walk wasn’t enough to show he had his control tonight, out of his 95 pitches, 69 of them were strikes. J.J. Putz came in and gave up one hit and a walk while getting one out, Matt Thornton got the other two outs in the 8th, and Bobby Jenks came in and pitched a perfect 9th for his 23rd save.
