Twins go 13 innings to take a 2-1 victory over Rays

Yes, Scott Baker. That’s the way to do it. I’ve never doubted you. Much. The Twins went 13 innings last night at Tropicana Field to take a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. They stayed in the game with fantastic pitching by Scott Baker, and the Twins sealed the deal with Delmon Young’s single RBI in the 13th (set up by a Joe Mauer single) and excellent pitching from the bullpen. Of course, Young had to make up for his stinky fielding (again!) in the ninth inning that allowed in the tying run. Even Gardenhire was irritated, quoted by ESPN as saying, “Disappointed in the ninth. That’s a ball in the outfield that we should catch.” You think? At least we have J.J. Hardy back in the lineup. He won’t help the outfield, but he improves our overall defense. Anyway, I know that...
