Chicago Cubs Third Base Outlook Heading Into 2011

When the Cubs traded for Aramis Ramirez in 2003 from the Pittsburgh Pirates, we all knew we were getting a good offensive third basemen. I don’t think anyone thought we were getting one of the best offensive third basemens in the game, and Aramis Ramirez has been just that for the Chicago Cubs. He’s been a rock in the middle of the order, when the more dangerous clutch hitters for a long time, and I for one have enjoyed watching him. Which is why I believe third base might be the easiest outlook I do for any position. Even though Aramis has a 15 million dollar option, I’m really not that concerned about him leaving. Why would he? He’s coming off a terrible injury plagued year which netted him his worst numbers as a Cub. He knows he isn’t going to get that security...
