The Arizona Fall League is viewed by many as a final step for prospects to develop before making it to the major leagues. Prospects play against the best young players the league has to offer and are able to showcase their skills. This season, the Milwaukee Brewers have eight players as part of the league. Here is a look at the top six Brewers prospects who are playing in the league who may have a future impact in Milwaukee.

After batting .282 and playing solid defense at Triple-A Nashville, Hector Gomez impressed enough in Milwaukee to earn playing time in 15 of the club's final September games. While he did not have much success as a Brewer, the team appears to be high on his future development. The 26-year-old middle infielder may never be an everyday player, but he could wind up being a right-handed second base option who the team will definitely need.

Although he is not projected as one of the top bats in the system, Nick Ramirez has legitimate power. This season in Double-A Huntsville, Ramirez slugged 19 home runs and drove in 82 runs. With many questions surrounding the Brewers at first base, a strong fall could go a long way for Ramirez. He started the fall season with a bang by hitting a homer and singling in his first game.

Ariel Pena is often the forgotten man in the Zack Greinke trade, but he has dominating, strikeout stuff when he takes the rubber. While he is currently a starter, his power fastball and movement would play perfectly in a late inning role. Through 128.1 innings, Pena struck out an amazing 140 batters.

Tyler Wagner was a closer in college, but he has excelled as a starter in the Brewers' organization. Last season, he was spectacular with a 1.86 ERA and a 13-6 record at Brevard County. In an organization that has become deep in pitching, Wagner could prove to be better than anyone.

Many Brewers fans grumbled as Rule 5 pick Wei-Chung Wang remained on the roster, eating up a roster spot, but his potential should prove to be well worth it. As a minor leaguer, Wang impressed. By pitching this fall, Wang will be able to eat up innings up for lost time. The team is hopeful he can be a starter down the road.

Center fielder Tyrone Taylor is viewed as the top player in the organization. He can hit, run and he plays above-average defense. At just 20 years old, he could be the eventual heir-apparent to current Gold Glover, Carlos Gomez. Overall this season, Taylor batted .273 with six homers and 45 extra-base hits. He should begin next season in Double-A and is a big part of the future in Milwaukee.
