Brandon Crawford is a human highlight reel at shortstop. He not only makes the routine plays, but makes the difficult ones look easy. While he is not known for his bat, he has delivered several big hits this postseason, including a grand slam to help knock out the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This October, Salador Perez has not hit the way he is capable of, but he's arguably the best catcher in the American League. He is a two-time All-Star and should win his second Gold Glove this season. The extra rest may be just enough the recharge his bat for the World Series.

James Shields did not earn the nickname "Big Game James" for nothing. This postseason, while he has not been completely dominant, he has yet to lose. In his only World Series start of his career, Shields held the Phillies scoreless through seven innings in a victory.
