It may not seem like much, but in the ninth inning of Game 3 of the 2010 NLDS, the Atlanta Braves' Brooks Conrad booted a routine ball from Buster Posey that allowed Freddy Sanchez to score and led to a Giants victory. For years, the Giants never seemed to have any postseason luck, and you can point to this play as the one that showed that the tide was turning and things were starting to go the Giants' way.

In the top of the 18th inning in Game 2 of the 2014 NLDS, the score was knotted at one apiece in a marathon of a game between the Giants and Washington Nationals. Brandon Belt stepped to the plate for his seventh at-bat and launched a Tanner Roark pitch into the seats to give the Giants a 2-1 lead. The Giants would hold on and take a 2-0 series lead in the best of five.

In the 8th inning of Game 6 of the 2010 NLCS, the score was tied at two as the Giants were one win away from advancing to the World Series. Juan Uribe was up against Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Ryan Madson. Uribe always has had a flair for dramatic hits in his career, and he came up big, launching a go-ahead home run and sending the Giants to their first World Series since 2002.

The Giants had reached the 2010 World Series, but no one gave them a chance against the Texas Rangers thanks to Rangers ace Cliff Lee. Lee pitched in Game 1, but the Giants didn't care as they exploded for six runs in the fifth, taking a massive 8-2 lead and putting the game away. Lee's final line that day was 4.2 IP, 6 ER and of course a critical loss. The Giants would beat Texas in five, winning their first World Series in this stretch.

In Game 5 of the 2012 NLCS, the St Louis Cardinals held a 3-1 series advantage. The Giants' rotation was gassed and their only choice was to pitch Barry Zito, their free agent acquisition bust from 2007. The Giants were certainly doomed until Zito had a dazzling performance, throwing 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The Giants would win the game along with the next two and advance to their second World Series in three years.

The Giants dug themselves a hole in the 2012 NLDS against the Cincinnati Reds. They lost the first two at home and had the near impossible task of winning the next three in Cincinnati to advance. They battled and won the next two games, and in the decisive Game 5 with the bases loaded, Posey crushed a pitch over the wall and broke the game open 6-0. The Giants never looked back and advanced to the NLCS.

Travis Ishikawa was at the plate with two men on and did his best Bobby Thomson impression. He launched a game-winning, walk-off three-run home run that propelled the Giants to the World Series.

With the 2014 World Series tied at two games each, there was an all-important Game 5 in San Francisco. The Giants trotted their ace out to the mound and he didn't disappoint. Bumgarner threw a complete game shutout, the first in the World Series since 2003 and completely dominated the Kansas City Royals who had no chance. Ned Yost later admitted afterwards that he knew the Royals had no chance to win Game 5 BEFORE the game.

In Game 1 of the 2012 World Series, the Giants had the tough task of trying to defeat Justin Verlander. Pablo Sandoval made his pitch to become the next Mr. October. Sandoval launched three home runs, the first two coming off Verlander, and sparked the Giants' Game 1 victory. San Francisco would never look back, sweeping the Tigers and winning their second World Series.

No team had won Game 7 of the World Series on the road since 1979, but if anyone could it was the Giants. The 2014 World Series was tied at three games each and with the Giants leading 3-2 in Game 7, Bumgarner entered the game in the 5th inning and proceeded to pitch five scoreless innings in relief on two days rest. Bumgarner threw 68 pitches, allowing just two hits as the Giants won their amazing third World Series in five years.
