C.C Sabathia has already lost all the velocity on his fastball and now he’s lost his temper. The New York Yankees’ big left-hander was among a group of friends at Newark Liberty International Airport headed to Jamaica.
When the party was unable to board the plane on time, Sabathia “started freaking out,” according to reports by TMZ. Port Authority officers were called in to deal with the angry Sabathia, which I’m sure is a terrifying sight considering he’s 6’7” and close to 300 lbs.
The starting pitcher was able to get on another flight, but this certainly isn’t the way the Yankees would like to see Sabathia start his offseason. After making only eight starts in 2014 before a knee injury ended his season early, the 2007 AL Cy Young Award winner is looking to bounce back in 2015.
