5. Kansas City Royals

The recent re-signing of Alex Gordon theoretically takes the Royals out of the market for an outfielder -- until you look at their depth chart and see that Jarrod Dyson is slated to start in right field right now. Gonzalez would upgrade that position while allowing Dyson to take his rightful place as a fourth outfielder.

St. Louis had some reported interest in Gonzalez prior to Christmas, and they still have question marks across the outfield. The Cardinals are a savvy organization that may not want to take on the rest of Gonzalez's contract, but they should at least reignite their interest in him.

3. Los Angeles Angels

The Angels have two needs Gonzalez can fill: A left fielder and a left-handed power bat to go between Mike Trout and Albert Pujols in the lineup. It may come down to having tradeable assets that would appeal to the Rockies, but nothing should be limiting the Angels' interest in Gonzalez.

2. Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles had interest in trading for Gonzalez back in early December, and Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports reported on Tuesday that they are talking to the Rockies about outfielders. If nothing else, acquiring Gonzalez would allow Baltimore to leave aside any lingering talks surrounding the possibility to re-sign Chris Davis.

1. Detroit Tigers

The Tigers have a serious void in the outfield right now, and in left field in particular. Gonzalez would also be a left-handed power hitter in a right-handed-heavy lineup, and the two years and $37 million left on his contract would be no issue for owner Mike Ilitch.
